Challenged to explore media that would create an immersive and living experience for visitors to the new Comcast headquarters, Unified Field developed a dynamic ‘living lab’. Here a series of interactive experiences invite visitors' engagement and participation in the building. 3D AI based characters reside within the walls and come to life, as “Hidden Narratives” activated by people passing by. ‘Shifting Sky’ utilizes augmented reality to create an ever-changing view of the planes above. The media actually changes the physical configuration and movement of the panels, which reveal images that are continually assembled into a variety of fantastical storytelling forms. Messages run through LED strips and are revealed in secret stories, through haptic devices. Each day the conversational adventure of the building offers new opportunities for engagement between the community and the company, virtually and in real life.
